Privacy Notice

Important: This is product-preview language for Test Mode. A child-privacy attorney should review the final data flow, parental consent method, retention schedule, school agreements, and applicable COPPA, FERPA, GDPR-K, and regional requirements before production.

Adult-owned accounts

Parents, guardians, teachers, and authorized school representatives create accounts. A child should not independently submit an email address, password, or payment information.

Information used by the preview

The membership preview stores an adult’s display name, encrypted email address, password hash, consent records, secure session records, membership status, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. ChatterZoo does not store full card numbers.

Learner information

ChatterZoo may store a child-friendly nickname, broad age band, language settings, learning supports, lesson progress, attempts, rewards, and achievements. The product should avoid collecting a child’s address, precise location, school name, photographs, private secrets, or direct contact information.

Service providers

Cloudflare provides hosting, Worker, and database infrastructure. Stripe provides payment checkout and billing management. AI and speech providers must be listed in the final production notice after their exact services and retention settings are selected.

Adult controls

The production service will provide processes for an authorized adult to review, correct, export, or delete account and learner data and to withdraw consent where required.

Retention and security

ChatterZoo uses encryption for private email data, one-way password hashing, secure cookies, scoped access, and audit records. A final retention schedule and incident-response contact must be published before launch.
